GAME CONTROLS
Backloopers is designed around quick mobile gestures while your character runs forward through the corridors.
- Swipe left or right: Select a direction when you reach a fork.
- Swipe up: Jump over hazards.
- Swipe down: Slide beneath obstacles.
- Two-finger tap: Pause during a run.
Some environments limit side-to-side controls. For example, wide rooms permit jumping and sliding without left/right veering, and breakrooms disable the run gestures.
PROGRESSION & SAVES
WHAT DO VHS TAPES DO?
Recover VHS tapes during runs and use them to purchase permanent upgrades between attempts. Your record distance, recovered tapes, discoveries, achievements, and unlocked collectibles are part of your progression.
WHERE ARE MY ALMOND WATER CANS?
Open the in-game Archive to view your can collection. New edition signals appear as you discover the related areas; rarer cans are tied to achievements.
HOW DO I RESET PROGRESS?
The in-game Settings / Reset section includes a full progress reset. This clears saved tapes, upgrades, records, achievements, and archive discoveries. This cannot be undone.
TROUBLESHOOTING
THE GAME LOOKS SLOW OR CHOPPY
Try the in-game settings to adjust graphics quality or visual effects. Close unused apps and restart the game if performance drops during a long session.
THE CONTROLS DON'T RESPOND
Make sure you are in an active run, rather than a breakroom, pause menu, or other overlay. Left and right swipes only choose directions when the game presents a fork.
MY PROGRESS IS MISSING
Confirm you did not use the full reset option or clear the app's local data. Avoid uninstalling the game before you have confirmed how your release version manages saved progress.
REWARDED ADS
Optional rewarded features may require an internet connection in releases where ads are enabled. Rewarded ad availability can vary, and no ad is required to browse this website.
